The mud maid at Heligan

The Lost Gardens of Heligan

The Lost Gardens of Heligan were amazing.

These are wonderful gardens in Cornwall that are being restored. There is a fantastic walled kitchen garden, with wonderful rows of veg, fruit and flowers featuring a fabulous archway of apples.

It has forest walks, a mini farm with some very marvellous ducks and it has lots and lots to see including some interesting artworks. I particularly enjoyed ‘Buggingham Palace’ which is apparently the largest bug hotel in the country, and the famous ‘Mud Maid’ sculpture.

If you visit Cornwall, it’s well worth making time for a visit to these gardens.

  1. All looks wonderful — especially the duck with bouffant hair. I can’t believe we’ve never got to Cornwall yet. xoxox
