Raindrops on roses this morning inspired today’s bouquet.
It features a miniature red rose and rosebuds, with ranunculus, tulip, wallflower, coral bells, and cornus. I tried a few different locations before settling on the stone wall background.
I’ve self imposed a rule that the plants should be in season and so including these miniature roses that were grown in a Dutch greenhouse, imported and sold in a supermarket, and have only been in the garden a few weeks is a bit of a stretch. But self imposed rules are made for stretching. There are lots of rosebuds in the garden from the established roses, so it is almost the season for them.
And raindrops on roses this morning were just beautiful.
I’m off to polish my bright copper kettle with my warm woolen mittens and look at the kitten’s whiskers.
