It’s xmas eve, and I’ve picked a few bits for the kitchen from the greenhouse and garden.
Rosemary and sage will go into the stuffing for the Christmas chimera, a roll made of turkey, partridge and duck which I’m about to prepare.
The tomato, chilli, coriander and parsley will go into a salsa to ‘posh up’ tonight’s fish and chip dinner.
I picked this harvest by the moonlight at dusk, which probably explains how I stepped on a slug. But now I think me and the slugs are are going to declare a Christmas ceasefire. I’m sure if I play the pipes of peace they’ll stop eating our sprouts.
Anyway, I hope that you have a mo to enjoy the moon, and a handful of herbs from the garden, and that wherever you are you are simply having a most wonderful time of the year.
I’m going to try a few new plans for the new year, and start planting some seeds soon as the days start getting longer.
Seasons greetings. I hope that your plants and plans come along nicely 👍😁🌱👏💐😘
Chimera? That sounds almost like turducken.

Haha, you’re quite right. But the first four letters of turducken sound most unappetising, so I prefer not to use that term. 🙂

I just think the whole thing sounds weird. I don’t like duck much anyway. We ate too much of is in college.
